Kampung Buku Malaysia, Langkawi

Greetings,

This blog is dedicated to Tan Sri Dato' Seri Sanusi Junid, the Chief Minister of the State of Kedah (1996 - 1999), Malaysia through his ideas and earnest drive led to the establishment of the Kampung Buku Malaysia, Langkawi.

The Malaysian Book Village was officially declared open by His Excellency Dato Seri Dr.Mahathir Mohammad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia (1981 - 2003) on the 3rd of December, 1997.

I was one of the lucky few who had the opportunity to witness and be on hand in executing Sanusi Junid's ideas into reality.

I hope that this blog would be of benefit to those who are interested in the project and that it will be a document of historical value to some.
